  Planet as device, Pax as OS

  

  Although the pax are tiny, the idea is constantly growing. 

  As we see the planet’s need for help increasing we also see the huge possibilities for a fast and curated way of helping out. If the initial brief was to create a digital unit for world-saving, the Pax roadmap now has an even bigger destination; create an OS for world-saving.  

  Our first step to open up Pax as a platform is the Pax Creation Kit (PCK or ‘Piece of Cake’) for designers. Interested? Give us a link @getpax to your bestest of works and let’s start creating. Amazing? You are amazing. 

  Finally, it’s with ridonkulous amounts of pleasure we say hello to Daniel Sundström who have been a role model in all things tech for a long time. Daniel committed the first lines of Hax last week. Follow Daniel @buffpojken and his smartness might rub off

  Pax v0.3 Birds is here!

  

  The new Pax release is here, version 0.3 Birds! With this release we are coming out of the pilot. It’s a great feeling going from idea through the process of creating the model and the platform, running the pilot and finishing the pilot. It’s been some 2 years since the initial idea. Time flies. We are learning to fly. Birds is here.

  With this we evolve from “Junglepax” to “Pax” to house the future of world-saving in one name. 

  Background: Pax is the Swedish word for calling dibs or shotgun on something; “I’m paxing that!”. Conveniently it is also short for ‘Packs’ and means ‘Peace’ in Latin :)

  • We have redesigned all paxes to better rhyme with future plans.
  • Overall design, copy and interface upgrades
  • Each Pax is now tagged with an ID on the actual Pax, meaning every unit you will ever see has an owner. We think that is p-r-e-t-t-y kewl.
